What will happen if I can't complete the Internship? Can I still join the next Internship?
If you are unable to complete the Internship, there is no problem at all, you can apply for the following Internship with the same or a different division.
How many times can I join the BOE Internship Program?
There is no limit to how many times you can participate in the Internship, as long as it is open and you want to experience each division's elective life!
What will I do if the division I want has no Leader?
Don't worry, you'll have more options to choose from, and we'll select the finest Division and Leader from those options. - In some cases, the 1iC Heads of Leadership or Chief of Staff Team takes over divisions without leaders, allowing interns who choose a division without leaders to still participate in the internship.
How long does the Internship take?
The Internship Program takes at least 3 weeks, training you and honing your skills.
How can Internship help me with my Apprentice Program?
Internships help interns prepare for the apprentice program by providing advanced understanding of the division they wish to pursue throughout their apprenticeship.
Is it mandatory to join the Internship Program?
No! The internship program is optional. However, we encourage that BOE members do internships first before applying for the Apprentice Program, since we believe this will benefit apprentice applicants.
Can I leave the BOE Internship Server anytime?
No, as long as the internship is in progress and your leader is actively giving tasks, you cannot leave. If you need to leave, you should have valid reasons, such as going on leave of absence (LOA).
FAQs for Leaders
Is it mandatory to join the Internship Program?
No, the Internship Program is optional for Leaders, particularly if they are busy during that month. However, we still encourage Leaders to join whenever they are available.
What if my interns are unresponsive?
Try to contact them as much as possible, and if there is no progress, you can DM the BOE Leaders to take action. If no BOE Leaders are available, you can contact 1iC Heads of Leadership and even the Chief of Staff Team for assistance with your situation.
What should I do if my interns need to go LOA in the middle of their internship?
Let the BOE Leadership, 1iC Heads of Leadership, know the situation. Following this, the intern will be dismissed from the internship because they are no longer able to complete the program. You may advise them to rejoin the next Internship whenever possible.
What should I do if my intern fails the first task of their internship? Will they be dismissed from the program?
No, they will not be removed. If your interns fail the task that you assigned them, make a note of it and include it in your evaluation for interns at the end of the program.
How should I grade my Interns?
Interns will be graded based on the division you manage. However, BOE Leaders provide feedback forms for Interns, which leaders must fill out, including their overall grade for the program.
What if I can't provide a certificate for my division?
Inform the BOE Leaders in advance so that they can prepare one for you. This certificate, along with your feedback and grades on the interns, must be delivered to them at the end of the internship program.
If you have any questions about the BOE Internship Guide, please contact the respective leaders or a member of the CoS Team.
