Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What are the duties of a HM member?
Being a member of the HM division, you are expected to:
- Log Badge Removal Requests (you are encouraged to do this even after your HM Task is complete!)
- Oversee lower ranks
- Enforce the Code of Conduct when necessary, reporting anything noticeable to higher ranks or Legal Affairs (LA)
How do I find people to log badge removals for?
The best way to do this is by looking at the members in the [HIA] Security Division badge. Next, head to members and find the page of users who joined roughly 14 days ago*, and check their offline times. After this, work backwards, checking through older members.
Top Tip - Note down the people who are nearing 15 days offline time, and check them at a later date so that they can be logged at 15+ days offline.
* 14 Days ago is calculated at 14 days prior to the current date - e.g., if the current date is 1st June 2025 then you are looking for 18th May 2025.

Who is eligible for a badge removal?
You can log a badge removal against any HIA member that has exceeded 14 days offline time, except for the following:
- Agents
- Electives
- Founders
- Users on LOA
- Users with the ALT Badge (check with TUiC!)
What shall I do if the user is on LOA?
Before logging a Badge Removal Request, you must ensure that the user isn’t on LOA. This can be done by checking the LOA Hub on the portal.
- If the member is on LOA, DO NOT log anything, since their absence is authorized.
- If the member’s LOA has expired, DO NOT log a request for them, as this is the job of LOA admins.
What is the ALT badge?
Another thing to look out for is the ALT Badge, which is given to users who have trouble accessing their account, or they may be muted/banned.
If a user has this badge and has 15+ days offline, contact a TUiC to confirm if they are eligible for removal.

What do I do if I can’t see their online time?
If you are unable to see the user’s online time, DO NOT log a badge removal request as there are a few steps that need to be taken.
You should:
You should:
- Attempt to get into contact with them by messaging the user on Habbo/Discord, asking them to make their OT visible.
- You may also check their portal logs, to see if their last activity was more than 15 days ago.
What do I do if I get no response after messaging a user?
If 48 hours have passed since the message and the portal logs are 15+ days old, you may log a Badge Removal Request against the individual.
- In this request, you MUST include the evidence of attempted communication logging it as “Offline 14+ Days (OT) Hidden,” adding “Profile hidden.”
- You may also use the “Other” option to add further clarification.
