Appeals, Cases & Complaints (ACC)
Honos, Integritas, Auctoritas
The Legal Affairs Unit maintains the order and internal security of Habbo Intelligence Agency, with the jurisdiction to investigate all regular and elective ranks. From cases of bullying to injustice; and even abuse of authority, all employees and civilians have the right to submit a complaint about those who violated the Code of Conduct, or basic human rights regardless of rank. All individuals have the right to appeal against both unfair, and valid disciplinaries given to them. For additional information, please contact any Legal Affairs member.
AppealsAppeals are filed for the review of an unjust or just disciplinary/firing, or matters relating to National Punishment/Ban on Sight charges. Appeals are assigned to our Clerks for review after being reviewed by LAiC. If an appeal is accepted, your disciplinary log will be reversed or deleted depending on the circumstances and perks/ranks reinstated if found unjust. |
CasesCases are filed by individual(s) for severe Code of Conduct violations such as corruption, abuse of authority, etc. Cases will be initially reviewed by LAiC, the LA Director and the LA Overseer. When a case has been reviewed it will either be handled by LA Heads, or it will be passed onto LA Marshals for investigation. Note: Only the LA Overseer, the LA Director, and LAiC will have the clearance to review cases unless deemed otherwise. |
ComplaintsComplaints can be filed by any individual against another party, regardless of whether they are personally affected or not. Complaints can be submitted either anonymously or with identifying information and may concern any alleged breaches of the Code of Conduct by the accused. Complaints will be provided to the LA Marshals to investigate and subsequent disciplinary action if appropriate. |

Appeals
Complaints
Cases
- A valid disciplinary can only be appealed 7 days after it has been issued.
- Individuals listed on the Ban on Sight / National Punishment list may fill out an appeal to be reviewed, possibly resulting in a pardon. The case will be directly handed to the BoS/NP Overseer of the Directorate Team.
- Appeals against disciplinaries issued by Directorate+ will require consultation with the issuer to determine whether LA or Dir+ will handle the appeal. If the issuer is no longer in HIA another Dir+ member may be consulted.
- Appeals against disciplinaries issued by ExR during collaborative events; or misconduct on other agencies' premises, will be reviewed alongside our Legal Diplomat and ExR Director.
- Any further violation of the Code of Conduct or misconduct in any HIA property will harm the chances of your appeal being approved.
- Each appeal will take around 48h to be reviewed. You'll be contacted by a member of the LA Clerks Sub-Unit regarding the status of your appeal, and a reinstatement package if the appeal has been approved.
- If your appeal - whether against a just or unjust disciplinary action - is denied, you may reappeal 30 days after being informed of the outcome. Additional appeals will not be considered until the 30 day period has passed.
- You may review the status of your appeal in the Appeal Public Records list below. For more questions, please contact the assigned leading Clerk or a member of LAiC.
Complaints
- An investigation can take between 48h-72h to be completed by the LA Marshal Sub-Unit. Times may vary depending on the nature of complaint.
- Complaints don't necessarily require a response unless you request an LAiC wishing to get one. (This only applies to non-anonymous complaints.)
- If an elective is involved in a complaint, a member of the Foundation Team will be informed immediately, however their involvement is not required (per. 3.D §3 of the Code of Conduct.)
- Complaints of the following nature will be forwarded to the relevant department with the right clearance:
- Cheating or Plagiarism during an examination [Apprentice iCs or The Chief of Staff depending on the program]
- Leaking sensitive and personal information [The Directorate Team]
- Misconduct towards or from a foreign entities [External Relations iCs / Legal Diplomat]
- Stealing Funds, Pay Abuse, Financial Fraud [Finance Team or PayiC]
Cases
- Cases are reviewed and handled by the Legal Affairs iC led by the LA Director and LA Overseer, which can be filed via the ACC Form at the top of this page, or directly messaging them.
- If an elective is involved in a case, a member of the Foundation Team will be informed immediately, however their involvement is not required (per. 3.D §3 of the Code of Conduct.)
- If cases are not handled by LA, they will be forwarded to the appropriate parties depending on their nature and the case at hand.
- If the nature or severity of the violation does not warrant classification as a case, it will instead be handled as a regular Complaint by the LA Marshals.
- If the reported individual is found suspected of any violation, they will be stripped of any privileges if required until the case reaches a verdict.
- If a case is regarding the LA Director, it will be forwarded directly to the LA Overseer.
